About me

Update March 2014

Well, my mother has stage three cancer and the prognosis isn't very good. Currently dealing with chemo and radiation treatment. We will see how things go.

Yes, this means far more erratic periods of just not being available.

Still checking in from time to time and on Facebook but don't expect too much productivity from me this year.

thanx Jay ... but you know what i was sure you would say that name.(lol) i think that some users like VxD don't know that if you want to create a music countdown or a discography you need to have several identical albums of the same band or artist otherwise you won't be able to put 3 songs of the same album on one of your list. i think that's the main problem in listal if you want to create a music list but for this situation i was not right because we don't need several albums in listal of Genesis Archives Vol 1 1967-1975 it's a boxed set full of demos and live songs. VxD did the same thing for some several Genesis studio albums but somebody should told him why there's some several identical music albums otherwise it will last forever (lol)... i'm still wondering why somebody would want to delete a cover album it's not something that people votes for... ?? thank you very much again Jay you're the best :)

i didn't want to bother with this Jay but it's the 3rd time that someone delete the pic of the boxed set Genesis Archives Vol 1 1967-1975 and they said it's a invalid picture but i know that it's not true because i owned that boxed set since 2001 and the cover image of my boxed it's exactly the same image that they deleted for nothing and i'm wondering how something so bizarre can happened. sorry for this Jay and thank you in advance if you can discovered what is happening. :)

i had some health problems (lungs) last summer and me too i bought a new apt because in my previous apt there was too much pollution surrounding the area and it was hard for me to move around in the city but now i can go on the balcony to take a breath of fresh air. i've never went at Cannes festivals because it's too crowdy and it's very very expensive... a
coffee it's 15$ but in Austria it's even worst it's 24$ (lol) i hope everything will go well for you and your family Jay :)

Glad you got away for some vacation time, hope you had fun - It should be fun keeping the instant project going this year, as I told the giraffe, I enabled you both to be able to edit the list if need be, let me know if I did it right - I'm glad you have Netflix Instant this year and will be able to join in :)

Ah, I see. I'll drop by soon enough to leave recommendations, though probably you'll expect most of them. We'll see.

Have a great trip & may 2014 kick off for you in a great way!

From the title I expected Seance on a Wet Afternoon to be a ghost story, and it was in a way, but as you said it was more of a psychological thriller than a horror film - I always enjoy sir Richard Attenborough, whether he be acting or directing, so I am surprised that this film never crossed my radar before, thanks for recommending it along with the other films you recommended, I enjoyed them all, they were a good mix of different genres - and thanks again for sending me Seance, it made for a nice way to wrap up the 5x5 project :)

Hope you have a happy New Year in 2014!

I noticed you'd made '30s lists (which I still have pulled up to revisit & contribute to soon), and decided to put that Marx Bros. list together real quick last night. I think my dad first showed me their films when they came on TV & I was around 13/14. Been a fan ever since. Were it not for past issues with mailing things I'd just send both box sets I have to you. I'm sure most of their films are easy enough to get a hold of though...if, however, you want to borrow any of them just ask. The only one in that list I don't own is Love Happy.

All right, I should probably figure out dinner & decide whether to squeeze in a movie between now & my next work shift at 11pm. I've got the house to myself tonight & intend to make the most of it. ;)

Hope you have a good weekend!

Yeah, I try to, but I have less and less time. But I hope that in January I will create something interesting :] I don't know if you saw, but now I'm working on processing my own photos, this is real fun, but time-consuming. Have a nice day!
